Hambrick Middle School took four dedicated students to the district Academic Pentathlon competition which took place at Lewis Middle School on Saturday, March 2.  Sponsors Carlos Diaz and Shannon Vince proudly announced that those 4 students performed outstandingly well at the competition. Students can compete in math, literature, social studies, science, fine arts, and a Super Quiz, which is a mix of all subjects.

Three of the four students competed in the Honors Division with one representing Hambrick in the Scholastic Division.  Every one of Hambrick’s participants placed in several different subjects resulting in a total medal count of 25.  This great success resulted in a 3rd Place overall school rank for the competition and a 2nd Place award for the Super Quiz.

The team is already making plans for an even bigger showing at the Regional Academic Pentathlon which will be held on April 27.
