Region 33 Band clinic

Hambrick Middle School students participated in the Region 33 Band Clinic and Concert on January 19 with some of the best musicians in the Houston and surrounding area.

The TMEA Region 33 Band Clinic and Concert was held at Spring High School on January 19 and 20.  Members of Hambrick’s band were eager to participate in the clinic and gain valuable experience.  After successful auditions on each of their instruments in the beginning of the school year, 13 students were invited to perform with the Concert and Symphonic Region 33 Bands.  During the clinic students receive extended rehearsal hours and have the opportunity to perform next to top instrumentalists in the region helping them to become stronger musicians. These ensembles are selected by blind auditions earning each student their chair placement in the bands. By competing in these events, students have the opportunity to perform sophisticated music for their age level and get to perform under state renowned band directors.
The students rehearsed from 6pm to 9pm on Friday, the day before the concert, as well as 9am to 4pm before the concert on the following day. The concert was then held for parents, family, and friends starting at 5pm on Saturday, January 20th.  Hambrick is proud to announce the following students who were selected to perform:
