Eighth grade students Natalie Gammage and Cesar Cordova will travel to compete in state and international athletic tournaments this month.

Hambrick Middle School students are excelling in the classroom as well as on the court and field.  Two 8th grade students have the opportunity to travel and compete in athletic competitions this month.  Natalie Gammage will participate in the 2019 Mizuno Lone Star Classic Junior Qualifier in Dallas from April 13-15.  Gammage is a member of the Asics Willowbrook Juniors Volleyball Club and competes with the team locally and nationally throughout the year.  Natalie plays Volleyball at Hambrick Middle School, but works to improve and perfect her game with the Willowbrook club outside of school throughout the year.

Cesar Cordova will travel to Italy to represent the U15 Boys National Soccer Team at the Torneo delle Nazioni. Cesar is one of only 15 boys who were selected from across the country to represent the United States.  The tournament will take place in Gradisca, Italy from April 27 to May 4.  Cesar’s mother, Dinora Cordova, shared her appreciation to the staff at Hambrick for the adjustments they’ve made in order for him to travel abroad.  She said, “I really appreciate the support that teachers and staff have given Cesar this past year.  You have all nurtured and given so much time to ensure that Cesar is as successful at school through his academics as well as allowing him to continue striving to pursue his passion for soccer.”

Great things are happening at the ‘Brick’ and beyond its walls for our students.  We couldn’t be more proud!
