Congratulations to Hambrick Chess Experience for their strong showing at the Black History Invitational Chess Tournament at Phyllis Wheatley High School on Saturday, February 1. After 5 rounds, Hambrick won the 3rd Place Team Award and 2 individual trophies. Katia Cisneros won 2nd Place in the intermediate group and Isaac Contreras won 3rd Place in the advanced group. In addition Tyrell Bennett and Ilana Luna earned medals for their performance at the tournament.
